Customer requirements

The school complex requires drinking water, heating and electrical power for various buildings and facilities and, as part of an energy efficiency project, its consumption of heating energy is to be optimized. In order to plan and implement optimization measures on the basis of solid data, energy measurements must first be taken using a data logger for long-term storage.

The Endress+Hauser solution

The RSG45 with energy software calculates the cyclical thermal energy and heat output of the eight heating circuits using the relevant flow values and the corresponding supply and return temperatures. The system not only records heat consumption, but also heat generation, allowing users to compare these values and balance them against each other. In addition, it is possible to calculate the efficiency of the heat production on the basis of the fuels purchased and the thermal heat they generate.
