Field of application

The NAMUR isolating amplifier is designed for safe operation of proximity switches according to EN 60947-5-6 (NAMUR) as well as open and mechanical contacts with resistive coupling elements. It has a universal power supply (24 to 230 V AC/DC) and one relay output (changeover) per channel. The device is approved for intrinsically safe (Ex i) circuits up to zone 0 (gas) and zone 20 (dust) in the Ex area. RLN42 can be used in safety equipment up to SIL 2 in accordance with IEC 61508.

  • Isolating amplifier for binary switch signals

  • Wide-range power supply (24 to 230 V AC/DC)

  • Input for proximity sensors acc. to NAMUR (EN 60947-5-6); floating contacts or contacts with resistance circuit

  • Monitoring of input circuits for line faults such as line break and short-circuit (LFD), disengageable

  • Output-side relay contacts as signal output, direction of action can be selected via DIP switches

  • Ambient temperatures -40 to 60 °C (-40 to 140 °F)

  • Installation in hazardous areas zone 2 / div 2
