The challenge

Uncontaminated and treated wastewater from the Gettnau plant is discharged into the Mülibach - the legal discharge conditions regarding pH value and TDS (total dissolved substances) must be complied with and verified. Alkaline wastewater from concrete production is collected in storage tanks and neutralized before discharge. Management of these tanks allows the water to be reused in the internal cycle. The optimization of plant operation through online measurements should lay the foundation for sustainable management.

The solution

The online measurement technology for monitoring level, flow, pH and GUS forms the basis for the solution. The measured values are recorded on the customer's local server, which enables legally compliant monitoring of the wastewater. The visualization via “FlowChief” provides information on current measured values and the status of the wastewater flows. In addition, historical data can be compared and summarized in individual reports. In this way, operations can be continuously optimized.
