Duties
The task of the Industrial Mechanic is to manufacture, maintain and monitor technical systems. This often involves relatively small
machines and components, such as retention and installation devices for production. Their role involves manufacturing tools and components
themselves using different metallic and non-metallic materials. To do this, they use both manual and machine-assisted processing procedures, particularly with the help of CNC machines.
Furthermore, the role of an Industrial Mechanic involves operating, setting up and programming machine tools. They also install and remove components, assemblies and systems, and maintain our equipment.
Training period
Three and a half years
Prerequisites
Mittlere Reife (intermediate high school certificate)
Interested in sciences
Enthusiasm for different materials; in particular metal
Excellent manual skills
Diligence and precision
Good knowledge of English
Training that is recognized across Europe
Opportunity to take an internship abroad (mostly Switzerland or the UK).
