20 years of pioneering work in laser measurement technology

Endress+Hauser subsidiary SpectraSensors celebrates its anniversary

Publication date: 19.04.2021

The gas analyzers from SpectraSensors are used for online and real-time monitoring of moisture, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, acetylene, oxygen and more. “Our products enhance the Endress+Hauser portfolio in the area of natural gas, gas processing, the hydrogen economy and carbon dioxide emission,” says John Schnake, Managing Director at SpectraSensors.

SpectraSensors was formed in 2001 as a technology spin-off of the renowned NASA-Caltech Jet Propulsion Laboratory and acquired by Endress+Hauser in 2012. With the acquisition, the Endress+Hauser Group tapped into the market for gas analysis and strengthened its position in the field of optical analysis technology and the oil and gas industry. The goal is to integrate SpectraSensors into the Endress+Hauser network.

Collaborative product development

SpectraSensors introduced a new analyzer platform to the market in 2021. The J22 TDLAS Gas Analyzer, the first in a series of new analyzers developed in close collaboration with Endress+Hauser, offers precise, fast and reliable measurements in the area of natural gas quality and thanks to the Heartbeat technology, ensures permanent diagnostics and verification without interrupting the process.
